Happy Birthday, USA!!!


Happy 4th of July!!

Fireworks, watermelon, and softball games!!! I will probably just be getting to enjoy the watermelon because I'm still recovering from eye surgery. Boo! But atleast I can still eat all the yummy foods that make up 4th of July weekend. For example...

4th of July Waffles
This is from my Mom's kitchen and they are so yummy!

Make waffles as usual. This recipe is all about the decorating! Then using strawberries and whip cream, create the flag stripes. Using blueberries make the stars in the upper left corner of the waffle. And there you go, somewhat healthy waffles that look like little American flags!!


As we celebrate the anniversay of our Independence (234 year ago!!!), I hope you all are taking some time to remember how lucky we are to be Americans and to have so many freedoms and opportunities. Its also a time to remember, pray for, and honor all the soldiers and veterans who are giving (or have given) their lives for our country. We are so grateful to have such brave men and women!
